Frequently Asked Questions:

Whether you are looking for florals for your wedding, or a private event, there can be many questions that come up!

Below are some of most frequently asked questions and some information that can be helpful for you to know and consider when looking for flowers.

Where do your flowers come from?

All of the flowers are sourced locally here in British Columbia. They are either grown at small scale farms here on the lower mainland and Vancouver Island or grown in greenhouses in the lower mainland. Whenever possible, I purchase directly from small scale farmers. I believe that through purchasing locally grown flowers, I am not only supporting the local economy but reducing the negative impact of transporting flowers from across the world. Additionally, the local farms I work with are either certified organic (River and Sea Flowers) or do not use harmful chemicals and are spray free. Growing utilizing these practices not only contributes to healthy soil and environment, but also is safer for you as a consumer, and me as a florist.

I have also begun to grow my own flowers and so from time to time you can find some of my own chemical free flowers in my work.

How much should I expect to spend on my wedding flowers?

While every wedding is different, the minimum spend of $2000 is for a small wedding with basic flowers (a few personal flowers (bouquets, bouts) and some ceremony flowers). Weddings of around 100 guests with basic flowers (small wedding party, simple table flowers) start at $3500.

There are so many wonderful ways to incorporate flowers into your wedding day, and I love to dream with you to imagine what flowers can bring to your wedding!

As I source our flowers locally, they are grown with care both for the earth and the people who work with them. I also use sustainable practices in my work including no floral foam, composting all green waste, avoiding single use plastic, recycling and reusing whenever possible. I believe my work with flowers is art, and I spend a lot of time designing and planning to execute the vision for your wedding. I work directly with many farms and suppliers to use high quality products that reflect my values of sustainability and ethical practices. My wedding minimum pricing reflects the minimum amount that could be spent to stay in line with the aesthetic and values that my company is proud to provide.

what does it mean to be the exclusive florist?

This means that I only take weddings where I will be creating all of the wedding florals. This includes any DIY and artificial flowers. This is necessary to ensure a cohesive aesthetic and level of professionalism with all of the flowers.

As my work is floral art, achieving a cohesive and beautiful look throughout your wedding or event can be greatly affected by different floral creations throughout the wedding. I pride myself on my high standards and the time and care I take designing for your event. Through being an exclusive florist, I am able to give you the most beautiful creations and look for your event.
